Cichero & McLean Solicitors was founded by Roger Cichero and Hardy McLean in 1963. Max Menzies joined the partnership in 1977 and the firm name was changed to Cichero McLean and Menzies Solicitors (‘CMM’) in around 1982. Harry Papadopoulos joined CMM in 1990 and became a partner of the firm in 1993.
CMM undertook work in commercial law, conveyancing, family law, criminal and traffic law, probate, and commercial and general litigation. The firm also worked closely with the banking and finance industry acting for many lending institutions, including Advance Bank, St George Bank, Bendigo Bank, Adelaide Bank, Newcastle Permanent Building Society and many other co-operatives and housing societies for loan preparation and associated matters.
Over CMM’s very successful and respected 51 years, each of Hardy, Roger and Max in turn retired from the practice, leading Harry to merge with, and complement the legal offerings of, Quay Legal Group. CMM’s very experienced and esteemed staff and a conglomerate of its clients followed to what is now, CMM Quay Legal Group.
