Quay Legal Group (QLG) was formed by Josephine Muscolino, Terence Grady and Philip Johnson in 1999. Josephine, Terry and Phil met whilst working together at the Reserve Bank of Australia. Terry was the bank’s Chief Solicitor for 9 years and Josephine was a senior counsel there for 12 years. Phil worked for the bank for 21 years, including as Senior Manager in its Bank Supervision Department.
QLG originally offered its services predominantly in banking and investment law and in government law, including acting for an overseas bank in its successful application, and set up, to become an Australian bank. With time, QLG extended its offerings to provide residential and commercial conveyancing, commercial and retail leasing, personal legal services, and drafting and reviewing of various commercial contracts.
In 2002, Josephine took full ownership and management of QLG and continued its successful growth, expanding the firm both in size and areas of practice. From its humble beginnings in 1999, QLG entered the merger to form CMM Quay Legal Group with a respected following of clients ranging from multinational corporations, all types of business, through to families and our vibrant youth.
